mwegal-Kūt (in arabo mwewmwfaكوت, o anche mwfqmwfgكوت العمارة, mwfwKūt al-ʿAmāra) è una mwgacittà dell'Iraq centro-orientale, sulle sponde del mwgqTigri, con una popolazione calcolata di 183.183 abitanti nel mwgg2008.

È il capoluogo del mwhaGovernatorato di Wasit.

La città è conosciuta per l'assedio e la successiva vittoria dell'mwhgEsercito ottomano su quello mwhwbritannico, trinceratosi nella città, durante il celebre mwiaAssedio di Kut nel corso della mwiqprima guerra mondiale.
